Let's wrap it up!
Remember, all equipment is due next Wednesday, May 6th. Please email the secretaries at [email protected] to arrange a drop off time. They are at the school during the day, but may not be in the office unless you let them know you are coming. For class today, I want you to work on your portfolio. Remember, all equipment must be turned in by May 6th. Please email the secretaries ([email protected]) to arrange a drop off time. Let's try to get it all wrapped up this week!
Keep plugging away on your portfolio's and emulation projects. Email your Emulation papers to me and add a section on your Portfolio web site for the pictures. When you are completed, we will look at installing the Lightroom app on your phones and learn to use that as an editing tool. You can also sync your Lightroom catalogue from your computer so that you can see all of those photos on your phone as well.
Also, all equipment needs to be turned in before May 6th. Please make an appointment with the CHS secretaries to return everything. Email them at [email protected] so that they are aware you are coming. Label the equipment with your name so that it makes the check in process quicker. Fines will be submitted after May 6th. We will not have a Zoom class today. If you have questions about any of our projects, I am available during class hours. Just message me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I expect you to work on your projects and connect with me this week on your progress. A new Response Journal page has been added in OneNOte for you to update your progress and share your goal for the week. THIS IS DUE TODAY!!! This is how I am taking attendance today, Your Emulation project is due and only a few of you have turned it in. Go ahead and share your photos with me if you have already turned in your paper. The photos could also be included in your Portfolio web site, but not necessary if you share them with me from Lightroom.
I have added a tutorial for Adobe Portfolio in the Photo 2 Links section of the class website. There are many other tutorials available online, so if you are struggling with getting started, check it out. Watch your email for an invitation to our first online meeting via Zoom. Please log in a few minutes early to make sure that the Zoom App is loaded and functioning correctly. We will be discussing where we are at and how we will get to the end of the year. Keep shooting. Keep editing. We will also be looking at the Adobe Portfolio. App and how it will become our friend over the next few weeks. Today's assignment (If you want credit for being here!) is to complete the response journal for today! Tell me where you are at on your final portfolio and emulation project. Also, What are your goals, photographically, for this week?
After photographing 36 plus images each day, shift gears and make one and only one photograph a day for a week. What will spend your energy on? Make sure your settings are correct, because if you make a mistake, that is your one for the day. This project should stretch you... make you really think about what you do with your camera.
Make at least 36 pictures each day for a week. Try just carrying your camera around and photograph your everyday life. Make a contact sheet for each day and then analyze the photographs. Are there any reoccurring patterns? What type of imagery are you drawn to? Why? See if you can make sense of what you have photographed over the week.
Creative Exposure is due today! Make sure it is turned in with all 6 photos and your reflection statement. If you get it in, then you can re-work any part of it for improved grade without a late penalty.
Your second contact sheet is due today! Friday the Creative Exposure assignment is due. I like what I am seeing so far! Those who have turned in images are doing some of the best work I have seen in a Photo 3 class this early in the year!
