Reviewed all assignments in the Exposure Unit. Handed out a review worksheet to prepare students for the unit quiz.
Take the first 5 minutes of class and write about the following quote.
To spot the difference between an average picture and an excellent picture, you have to look at a lot of pictures. And to see an opportunity that others would miss, you have to take a lot of photos that miss the moment, too. - Jim Beecher Think about this. What is he really saying? Do you agree or disagree and why? After reviewing the previous assignments (Vocabulary, Towels and Equivalent Exposure), the rest of the day was used as a lab day. The assignment was given to make sure that something is turned in today!
We have been working on two assignments in this unit, learning to make white white and black black in the camera and then photographing Equivalent Exposure. There is a lot to learn all at once, and I understand it can be confusing. All I am concerned about at this point is that you are making progress. Learn what each camera setting does, how the light meter in the camera works and understanding the language of photography with the vocabulary terms. As you make mistakes (we all do), learn from them. An A is earned by making mistakes and then correcting them. Photograph a lot, analyze the good and bad and then use that information to improve.
All of the assignments can be found on our class Canvas website... click on the link found here on the Assignments tab. |
