Have fun with trick photography! Today we will look at some images using forced perspective. Once we understand this concept, we will go out and experiment with it in the form of a competition! Make the most creative photograph you can using forced perspective, edit and turn in your favorite by the end of the period!
Introduction to Camera RAW processing. PERSPECTIVE PHOTOGRAPHS DUE TODAY! Make sure to have your folders set up correctly. Edit three images and then prep the best one for printing and turn it in to the Assignments folder.
We took a Semester Pre-test today. Everything on the test will be fair game for pop quizzes throughout the semester, so make sure that you get the correct information when we review it!
We also reviewed the Perspective assignment. REMEMBER... YOUR IMAGES ARE DUE NEXT CLASS PERIOD! Perspective in photography, when used correctly will help to create a sense of depth in your images. While a photograph is printed on a two-dimensional surface, visually creating depth is the only way we have of showing three dimensionality of the world in which we live. Mastering the techniques used to show depth and perspective will greatly enhance your ability to create meaningful photographs.
First, research perspective as it relates to photography. Once you understand it, type up a paper describing to me your understanding of this concept. Include in your paper at least five ways to enhance perspective in your photographs. Describe each of the following types of perspective: linear perspective, diminishing perspective, aerial perspective, tonal perspective and color perspective. Sharpness has an effect on the appearance of depth and perspective. Describe its effects and how you might be able to control it. Find a photograph that illustrates good use of perspective, paste it into your document and analyze and critique it. Tell me what type of perspective is used and why it is effective. Also give a general critique of the photograph. THIS IS DUE TODAY! Now go out and make photographs demonstrating perspective. These photographs are due in class on Jan. 13/14. |
