We are finishing up the Camera Settings unit. We have covered Camera modes, ISO, White Balance and Exposure Compensation. You should understand how these settings will affect your photographs. When we covered Camera Modes, we also learned about aperture and shutter speeds and the effect that they have on your image. Make sure that all 4 of these projects are completed and turned in, as we will be moving on and discussing Composition next class period.
Digital cameras have a multiplicity of shooting modes. In this project we will explore them and determine how they work so that we can use them effectively to make creative decisions.
To complete this assignment, do the following: 1. Explore a minimum of 5 different scenes... drastically different (different lighting conditions, moving subjects, still subjects, landscapes, people, etc.), with your camera. Photograph each scene with at least 5 different modes. Take notes when shooting so that you know exactly what settings you used for each image. 2. Make a contact sheet showing 25 images, 5 scenes, 5 modes each, and note which of each scene is the best. Save the contact sheet to the assignments folder. 3. Fill out the Project 1 Questions and turn in to the assignments folder. |
