Research leading lines and curved lines on the internet and be prepared to discuss what you learned with the class. After the discussion, go outside and create at least 30 photographs illustrating good use of curved line and leading line. Return to the classroom and make a contact sheet of your best 15 photographs.
Find 5 photographs illustrating good use of line in composition. Focus on horizontal, vertical and diagonals. Paste the images on a 10x8 inch photoshop document. In one sentence describe the purpose of using line in photography. Put your name in the lower right corner and turn in for grading.
Go outside and make at least 25 photographs using strong line in the composition. Return to the classroom and make a contact sheet of your best 15 images. Using the information from our discussion on line, find images that exhibit good use of line. Try to find examples of all four types of line discussed: Horizontal, Vertical, Diagonal and Implied. Copy at least five examples into a photoshop document (10" x 8" @ 300 PPI). Add a definition of line, including its purpose in photography, add your name in the lower right corner and turn in for grading.
Use the remainder of your time finishing your Simplicity photographs that were due last period. |
