Reviewed how student folders on the Mac server should be set up and took time to correct them. In order to receive a grade for an assignment it MUST be in the right place and named correctly. This is standard business procedure and we must follow the rules.
Research "Rule of Thirds" online and discussed what it means and looked at examples. A good video explaining rule of thirds is available here. The assignment is to make photographs showing Rule of Thirds. Each student needs at least 15 examples, so I recommend making many more photographs than that, like 30-50 and then edit them down to your best. Learned how your folders on the Mac server need to be set up and set up for today's assignment. Went outside and photographed, then downloaded to your folder. This process will be used all year, so today was the day to learn it! I will not search for your assignments, so you MUST FOLLOW TODAY'S INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU WANT CREDIT FOR ANY WORK THIS YEAR!
Took Quiz on Ansel Adams video. Completed History of Photography Internet Scavenger Hunt. The information on the worksheet WILL BE TESTED!
Introduction to the iMac computers. Watched videos Anatomy of a Mac and PC to Mac from the Apple website. Watched Ansel Adams Documentary and discussed how photography has changed over the past 50 years.
